05/09: Envelope Addressing for Weddings

Join Queeny, artist and owner of Traveling Calligrapher, in this virtual envelope addressing workshop for absolute beginners! In this workshop, I'll share with you my top 3 ways to address an envelope and 3 different formats for inspiration. I'll share with you (1) how to pre-format your addresses in a Word document to help with centering, (2) paper tools we can use to help with straight lines, and (3) electronic tools we can use to help with the design, centering, and straight lines. There will be step-by-step instructions, live demos and engagement, just like my in-person workshops. It's perfect for people who want to address their own wedding invitations, people who want to address envelopes for other people, or if you want to improve your holiday cards by 1000%, this workshop is for you. I'll guide you through the class and by the end, you'll feel more confident in creating beautiful hand-addressed envelopes. 

After the workshop,we will have optional 15 minute Q&A time where you'll get an opportunity to ask any questions or see any demos. 

Virtual Workshop Includes:

- 2.5 hours of instruction which includes a front facing camera of myself...but not for long until I change it to an overhead camera so you can easliy follow along the live demonstrations

- 15 minute (optional) Q&A after the workshop

- Envelope Addressing Handout (A PDF digital copy will be emailed to you 3 days prior to print at home, if you need supplies, see instructions below)

** This workshop is open to all students, if you are unable to attend due to the time zone difference, a recording will be available after class for 30 days via Zoom **

What you will need for the workshop:

- Calligraphy or Lettering Supplies of your choice

- Pencil

- Ruler

- Envelopes (good quality paper envelopes if you're using pointed-pen calligraphy)

- Computer with Word Document or other letter formatting program

- A viewing device that is able to connect with Zoom (Computer, Tablet, Phone, etc.) You are welcome to use a camera to show your work during the workshop
